I guess Fred missed you Olivia, because he followed not too long after you passed. I hope you two are running in green meadows. Ginger, Lucy and your mom and dad are grieving for you. Gone too soon, sweet, funny Fred.

OLIVIA ROSE
Olivia Rose walked over the Rainbow Bridge too soon. Your two siblings and your human parents you left behind miss you terribly.

HOOTCH: To the very end you were committed to make me smile, with the very last tail wag, the last paw in the air to greet me when I came home. We both loved and respected each other unconditionally for 10 years. I watched you in the mirror during your last ride, with your nose barely out the window, and your eyes looking past the view, as if you knew you wanted to run free, with out pain, without me. My heart aches for you, to see you one last time. And my heart is happy that you will no longer be in pain. I will see you at the bridge Hootch. Wait for me. For my best friend ever.

Aztec
2000-2013
The best boy, charmer extraordinaire, His Royal Fluffiness, official greeter Boothbay Harbor, Maine, a Smiling Dog of The Bark. Missed deeply by his parents Betsie and Steven and the Aztec Fan Club, human and canine.

“Golden retrievers are not bred to be guard dogs, and considering the size of their hearts and their irrepressible joy in life, they are less likely to bite than to bark, less likely to bark than to lick a hand in greeting. In spite of their size, they think they are lap dogs, and in spite of being dogs, they think they are also human, and nearly every human they meet is judged to have the potential to be a boon companion who might, at any moment, cry, "Let's go!" and lead them on a great adventure.”  Dean Koontz

R.I.P. Betty Spaghetti

Betty was a female brindle pit with a love of life. Her favorite pastime was to escape out of her yard, and frolic with the butterflies. She never ventured far from her water bowl, or her best bud, A.C., a corgi/Chihuahua mix, who often escaped with her.
Betty was rescued from the Anza hoarder a year ago. Her home was an 8x10 enclosed pen, far away from the house, alone, and in the mud. Her tail still wagged, she smiled, and did the pitty butt dance, and that's all it took. Our foster said, I want her. And Betty lived her life out with comfort, love, walks, and good memories. With a broken heart we say "paws up" for one last time to our Betty, who lost her battle with cancer.

“They come into our lives feeling so abandoned…and oh do we know that feeling when they’re gone.”
In life, the best walks are always the shortest.

“We who choose to surround ourselves with lives  even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the
only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan."                                                   -- Irving Townsend

Pterodactyl (Aka Terra):
I assisted Terra's mother, Cassidy, in Terra's birth;  she was breach and struggled to get through the birth canal. As a puppy Terra's love of the earth (dirt really) and bold character earned her the name, Pterodactyl (from Calvin and Hobbes fame).  Fiercely determined Terra made it into this world, and fiercely determined she was to the end.  Terra was bold and courageous, she loved mountain climbing and boldering in her youth, and later on, as the years passed, long afternoon snoozes lying in the sun on the deck.  She was my constant companion, my confident, and loving friend for 12+ years. Sorrow fills the space where she once lay beside me.

In Loving Memory of Chunky...
From Mary Morse:
RIP to my sweet baby Chunky... He was such a happy boy who just loved life and loved his Angel "mommy" dog. He was to go to the pound 3 years ago and I said, "Hell, no!" He had 3 more happy years. Vet says that he was at least 10 years old. I just love the thought of the "Rainbow Bridge" - I told him that his Angel dog (who is 18 already) would be coming soon to take care of him again. Love him always.
